En 1996, Ramiro y su familia, integrada por su esposa y sus dos hijos, adquirieron el predio “Los Naranjos” con una extensión de 5hectáreas ubicado en la vereda San Pedro. “Nuestra tragedia comenzó en 2002, cuando paramilitares del Bloque Centauros, asesinaron a mi suegro y a mi cuñado. Al año siguiente se presentaron constantes enfrentamientos por la disputa territorial entre la guerrilla y las Autodefensas, por lo cual nos vimos obligados a abandonar nuestra finca y desplazarnos a el casco urbano de EL Dorado” señaló Ramiro.
“Agradecemos a la Unidad de Restitución de Tierras, por el apoyo que nos brindaron para recuperar nuestra tierra y después para poner en marcha nuestro proyecto productivo de cultivo banano y aguacate con el que podré garantizar el sustento de mi familia”, agregó el beneficiario.
A su turno, el ingeniero Wilson Leyton Roldán, director de la URT en Meta,señaló que “esta es una gran noticia porque desde la Unidad de Restitución no sólo estamos contribuyendo a reactivar la economía de esta familia beneficiaria, sino que garantizamos soberanía alimentaria en el territorio”.
Además, Leyton indicó que la Unidadentregó a esta familia restituida, un subsidio por más de $30.000.000 que fue utilizado para la compra de insumos, semilla de banano, semillas de aguacate y equipos parafumigar. Asímismo, se hicieron 15 visitas de acompañamiento integral por parte del profesional de proyectos productivos, para sacar adelante el sueño de Ramiro.
Finalmente, elDirector Leyton, invitó a los reclamantes y beneficiarios de restitución a quedarse en casa para cuidar de sus familias y a hacer uso de los canales virtuales de comunicación que ha dispuesto la Unidad de Restitución deTierras para atender a los usuarios durante la cuarentena.
