Sobreprecios denunciados en mercados para familias vulnerables son inaceptables

El Presidente de la República, Iván Duque Márquez, subrayó este lunes que los sobreprecios denunciados en algunos productos alimenticios adquiridos para entregar mercados a las familias más vulnerables, en medio de la pandemia del coronavirus, son inaceptables.

En una entrevista con las emisoras de Olímpica Stéreo, el Jefe de Estado advirtió que los responsables de esos hechos de corrupción deben ser castigados con severidad.

“Esas cosas, primero son inaceptables que ocurran y por eso, cuando los organismos de control han identificado casos en lugares del país donde eso se esté presentando, tiene que caer todo el peso de la ley”, manifestó el Mandatario.

Se refirió a la labor que desarrolla el Gobierno para la entrega de mercados en las zonas que más lo requieren y precisó que el Ministerio del Interior inició la entrega de un millón de mercados.

Indicó que en estos casos se establece un sistema de precios claro y transparente con la Unidad Nacional para la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres.

Explicó que los productos básicos se están entregando en los territorios a las comunidades más vulnerables, a poblaciones apartadas, a afrocolombianos, a líderes sociales y a comunidades indígenas, rom y LGBTI.
