Cámara de Representante debe sesionar hoy a la media noche, si no, prisión perpetua para violadores se puede hundir

Se esperaba que hoy la plenaria de la Cámara de Representantes, discutiera la llamada Ley Gilma Jiménez, que busca la prisión perpetua para violadores y asesinos de niños, pero por un error a la hora de anunciar la iniciativa no se pudo debatir ya que hubiese podido incurrir en un vicio de trámite.

Por esto Yohana Jiménez, líder de la defensa de los niños en Colombia, dijo que está en riego de hundirse esta iniciativa. “En este momento la prisión perpetua para violadores y asesinos de niños entra en cuidados intensivos, si el Congreso no le da celeridad se puede hundir, puede morir una vez más ya que estamos a pocos días de terminar el periodo legislativo” anotó.

Esta reforma constitucional debe cursar tres debates antes del 20 de junio, de no darse, una vez más se hundiría esta iniciativa en el Congreso de la República, por esto Yohana Jiménez, pidió que se sesione hoy a la media noche para evitar que esto suceda. “Hago un llamado al presidente de esta corporación y a todos los representantes a la Cámara para que anuncien hoy mismo el proyecto y lo discutan mañana sábado 16 de mayo a las 12:05 de la madrugada” dijo.

Finalmente Yohana Jiménez, hija de la exsenadora Gilma Jiménez, promotora de la cadena perpetua, dijo que espera que haya voluntad política para que eso sea una realidad.
