En ese sentido, el representante chino solicitó a la oficina de coordinación de Asuntos Humanitarios de la ONU revisar el impacto de las sanciones impuestas por EE.UU. en medio de la emergencia sanitaria producida por la pandemia del coronavirus.

“Instamos encarecidamente a los países interesados ​​a que levanten de inmediato las sanciones unilaterales, solicitamos a la Oficina de Coordinación de Asuntos Humanitarios de la ONU que preste más atención al impacto de las sanciones en la situación humanitaria en Siria y otros países” enfatizó Zhang.

Asimismo, Zhang rechazó la salida de EE.UU. del acuerdo nuclear firmado entre Irán y el grupo 5+1, integrado por Reino Unido, Rusia, Francia, China, más Alemania, toda vez que dicho pacto contribuye a los esfuerzos de paz y estabilidad.
