En los próximos días, se iniciarán pilotos de servicios religiosos

El Presidente Iván Duque confirmó este sábado que “en un diálogo que hemos tenido con las distintas iglesias, hemos avanzado para que, en los próximos días, los pilotos de los servicios religiosos empiecen con éxito”.

Durante la conmemoración del Día Nacional de la Libertad Religiosa y de Cultos, el Jefe de Estado aclaró que, en principio, se manejarán aforos que no superen las 50 personas, y los protocolos de bioseguridad, porque consideró que “esto ayuda también a fortalecer el tejido social y el tejido espiritual de nuestra nación”.

En la ceremonia, que se llevó a cabo de forma virtual y en la que participaron representantes de todas las iglesias reconocidas en el país, se firmó el ‘Pacto departamental para promover la garantía y el goce efectivo del ejercicio del derecho a la libertad religiosa’.

En este sentido, el Presidente Duque aseguró que “la defensa de la libertad y los derechos religiosos es intrínseca a la sociedad democrática que queremos construir”.

“Yo quiero agradecerles a todas las religiones, a todos los cultos y a todas las funciones de prédica y pastoreo, de catequesis, en el territorio nacional, que para enfrentar esta pandemia hemos contado con su solidaridad y con su voz; hemos contado con sus enseñanzas y su pedagogía”, aseguró, al hacer referencia a la emergencia que vive el país y el mundo por cuenta del covid-19.

Por esta razón, invitó a las iglesias y credos “para que entre todos construyamos un tejido social, donde entendamos que nuestro deber supremo es sacar el país adelante, no dejar que los discursos de la piromanía incendien los buenos sentimientos que deben imperar de solidaridad, de cooperación, de trabajo en equipo”.

Reiteró el respeto a todas las manifestaciones religiosas y de quienes no tienen credo, pero recalcó en que Colombia “ha sido, es y será siempre un país de fe”.

“Que sea también esta ocasión, 4 de julio del 2020, para que en cada iglesia, en cada manifestación de fe, el día de hoy haya una oración por Colombia”, concluyó.
