Director del IDRY atendió debate de control político citado por el Concejo Municipal

El director del IDRY, Gelmar Giraldo, participó durante cerca de cuatro horas, en el debate virtual de control político, convocado por el Concejo Municipal de Yopal.

En el escenario, Giraldo Guanaro escuchó atentamente las inquietudes de varios ciudadanos y concejales, quienes plantearon puntos importantes a tener en cuenta en aspectos como: formación deportiva, contratación, clubes y proyectos a desarrollar, entre otros.

El director del IDRY, inició su intervención recordando las acciones que ha adelantado junto a sus colaboradores para cumplir los retos que tuvo que recibir a nivel administrativo, en materia de deudas y deficiencias en escenarios como el Complejo Deportivo Los Hobos.

Así mismo, expuso en detalle lo concerniente al presupuesto y estado financiero del instituto, espacios de actividad física, fortalecimiento de procesos de formación deportiva y trabajos de mantenimiento que se han realizado a escenarios de la ciudad.

Ante la actual emergencia sanitaria, el funcionario hizo un recuento de las medidas implementadas y la adaptación que ha desarrollado el IDRY para lograr continuar brindando servicios a la comunidad a través de plataformas digitales y demás elementos existentes.

Un punto importante, tuvo que ver con oportunidades laborales y espacios específicos para población en condición de discapacidad, lo cual fue resaltado por varios de los concejales.

A lo anterior, se debe agregar que el instituto ha venido trabajando continuamente en proyectos de gestión para la construcción de nuevos escenarios deportivos en la ciudad, siendo el caso de la pista de atletismo uno de los más destacados.

En este sentido, se deben agregar precisamente las gestiones adelantadas ante el Ministerio del Deporte para lograr que la ciudad sea sede de citas deportivas de gran impacto, aportando a uno de los objetivos centrales de esta administración: posicionar a Yopal como epicentro de grandes eventos.

El concejal citante, Dainover Rodríguez, reconoció la labor desarrollada por el IDRY e hizo un llamado al sector privado para que se vincule de manera más proactiva con acciones de apoyo al deporte.
