Mundial de Qatar 2022 se jugará del 21 de noviembre al 18 de diciembre

La selección de Qatar abrirá el 21 de noviembre de 2022 en el estadio Al Bayt, con capacidad para 60.000 espectadores, el Mundial que se celebrará en su país, cuya final se celebrará el 18 de diciembre en el estadio Lusail, que dispone de un aforo de 80.000 espectadores.

Según el calendario hecho público este miércoles, el partido inaugural se jugará a las 13:00 horas (5:00AM, hora colombiana) en el estadio Al Bayt, un recinto que por su construcción y nombre recuerda a las típicas tiendas nómadas del Golfo Pérsico, y la final se jugará a las 18.00 horas locales (10:00AM hora colombiana) en el estadio Lusail.

La fase de grupos, en nuestro país, tendrá partidos a las 5:00AM, 8:00AM, 11:00AM y 2:00pm.

El encuentro por el tercer puesto se disputará el 17 de diciembre en el estadio Internacional Khalifa. Las semifinales serán el 13 y el 14 de diciembre en los campos que albergarán tanto la inauguración como la final.

La fase de grupos, que celebrará encuentros en los ocho recintos previstos por Catar para el campeonato, se prolongará del 21 de noviembre al 2 de diciembre; para dar paso a los octavos de final del 3 al 6 de diciembre.

La FIFA comunicó que durante la fase de grupos se disputarán cuatro partidos por jornada, que permitirán que los equipos dispongan de tiempo suficiente para la recuperación

«La naturaleza compacta del torneo catarí -en el que no serán necesarios los desplazamientos aéreos- permitirá por primera vez a los organizadores optimizar los partidos en beneficio de la afición, las selecciones y los medios de comunicación», afirmó el ente a través de un comunicado.

El estadio y el horario de los partidos de la fase de grupos se decidirán tras la celebración del sorteo final, previsto para después de los partidos clasificatorios de marzo de 2022. Una vez conocidos los emparejamientos se valorará la posibilidad de asignar los mejores horarios dependiendo de las audiencias televisivas y también para los aficionados desplazados hasta Catar, en función del estadio idóneo.

También señaló que «esta flexibilidad no afectará a los aspectos técnicos, puesto que todos los estadios se encuentran muy próximos los unos de los otros, y las condiciones climatológicas de Catar en esa época del año son perfectas, tanto si el partido comienza pronto como si lo hace más tarde».

«De este modo los aficionados que visiten Catar tendrán la posibilidad de ver en directo un mismo día más de un partido de la fase de grupos», apuntó, a la vez que anunció que las primeras entradas con servicios preferentes asociados (hospitality tickets) se pondrán a la venta a finales de 2020.

Las entradas para el gran público únicamente se podrán adquirir a través de FIFA.com/tickets, donde próximamente se publicarán todos los detalles relativos a las fechas, las fases, las categorías y los precios de venta.
