Intensa jornada de rescate fue efectuada por la Fuerza Aérea en el Meta

Once personas y un animal doméstico que se encontraban aislados, por la súbita creciente del Río Guayuriba en Araguaney, anteriormente conocido como Cocuy Bajo, una vereda del departamento del Meta, fueron rescatadas en un helicóptero de su Fuerza Aérea Colombiana, activado por el Centro Nacional de Recuperación de Personal CNRP, en la misión de Búsqueda y Salvamento “ÁNGEL”.

Sobre las tres de la tarde, las tripulaciones del Helicóptero Black Hawk UH-60 del Comando Aéreo de Combate No.2 CACOM2, iniciaron con las complejas labores de rescate de los ciudadanos que se encontraban en situación de riesgo en áreas rurales de Villavicencio, por cuenta de las inundaciones que provocaron el trasvaso del Río Guayuriba al Río Negrito.

En cuatro vuelos y desde 15 metros de altura, por medio de una grúa de rescate, se logró la exitosa extracción de un bebé, dos niños menores de 4 años, tres personas de la tercera edad, cinco adultos y un canino; asimismo, durante la operación, nueve integrantes de la Defensa Civil y la Cruz Roja, abordaron la aeronave para ser movilizados hasta las áreas, con el objetivo de que realizaran la evaluación de daños y las necesidades de evacuación de la comunidad.

La operación de rescate finalizó cerca a las ocho de la noche con la entrega de los 11 ciudadanos al personal de los Organismos de Socorro y al señor Juan Felipe Harman, Alcalde de Villavicencio, para su posterior reubicación y acompañamiento médico, ya que uno de los adultos mayores requirió especial atención, debido a las dificultades para movilizarse por sus propios medios.

Una vez puestos a salvo, la aeronave regresó al CACOM2, y cerca de las diez de la noche, nuevamente se prepararon para el despegue, en esta oportunidad, para movilizar hasta el punto crítico del Río Negrito, a cuatro miembros de la Policía Nacional, con sus equipos de rescate y un bote Zodiac, con el fin de fortalecer el pie de fuerza de los Organismos de Socorro, debido a que la situación de la comunidad que se encuentra en estado de alta vulnerabilidad, requiere de un trabajo interinstitucional que permita salvar las vidas de nuestros compatriotas.

Recientemente, el departamento del Meta fue catalogado por el IDEAM como una zona en alerta roja por las lluvias y nubosidad, bajo monitoreo constante en varias zonas de la Orinoquía; carreteras, viviendas y cultivos han sido cubiertos por completo por el agua y lodo, arrastrados por estos ríos, motivo por el cuál, el Alcalde decretó la calamidad pública en Villavicencio.
