Fusionaron los Colegios Pío XII con el INEM Luis López de Mesa

Mediante resolución 1084 del 2020, la Secretaría de Educación fusionó la Institución Educativa Pio XII, con el colegio Inem Luis López de Mesa, para que dentro de su estructura continúe funcionando administrativa, financiera y pedagógicamente en este sector de la ciudad.

El titular de educación del municipio, Álvaro Hernández Mora, explicó que la migración de familias hacia otros sectores redujo el número de estudiantes matriculados en el colegio Pio XII, razón por la cual, fue necesario tomar la decisión para reorganizar la oferta educativa en los dos colegios.

Entre tanto, la licenciada Lili Marín Useche, quien estaba asignada como rectora de la institución Educativa Pio XII y que fue nombrada rectora del colegio Inem, dijo que las infraestructuras educativas del Porvenir, Veinte de Julio y Sabogal Hurtado, quedarán como sedes del Inem con un total de 3.270 estudiantes de 0 a grado once.

Según el Sistema de Información de Matrículas (Simat), la Pio XII registró este año un total de 570 estudiantes de preescolar a undécimo grado, en las dos sedes, y, el Inem, tenía matriculados antes de la fusión 2.700 niños y jóvenes, siendo uno de los índices de matrícula más bajos en los últimos años.

Finalmente, el licenciado José del Carmen Pérez, quien se venía desempeñando como rector del colegio Inem desde hace varios años, fue asignado rector de la Institución Educativa General Carlos Albán, ubicado en Ciudad Porfía de la comuna Ocho de Villavicencio, en reemplazo de Francy Ruíz, quien se pensionó recientemente.
