En Boyacá convocan a los ciudadanos a detener el uso del plástico

La Secretaría de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible de la Gobernación de Boyacá ha generado y estructurado esta importante estrategia cuyo objetivo principal es reutilizar las bolsas y cajas de leche en la producción de material vegetal en vivero a cambio de la bolsa negra típica de los viveros forestales.

Según Fabio Guerrero, titular de la sectorial, con la estrategia Reutilizando germinamos esperanzas, el aporte a la conservación del ambiente tiene un valor agregado, retardando el proceso de que miles de este tipo de bolsas y cajas lleguen a los rellenos sanitarios, por tanto, se les da un uso adicional y no se convierten en plástico de un solo uso”.

De esta forma se ha iniciado la estrategia, la cual consiste en que por cada 10 bolsas o cajas de leche que se lleven al Jardín Botánico, el usuario recibe un árbol que ha sido sembrado y desarrollado en una bolsa del mismo tipo, material vegetal que en ocasiones supera los 40 cm de altura.

La estrategia consiste en que en los ciudadanos en sus casa, recojan las bolsas y cajas de leche que desocupan, con el objetivo de hacerlas llegar a las instalaciones del Vivero del Jardín Botánico en Tunja, las cuales son usadas para la producción de material vegetal en el vivero, para tal fin se reciben bolsas de leche y cajas de leche Tetrapak previamente lavadas en casa.

Esas bolsas y cajas deben ser previamente lavadas en casa, para evitar la fermentación de los residuos de leche que le quedan y con ello también se evita que vayan contaminadas con bacterias y virus.

Esta iniciativa se comenzó a trabajar en el vivero del jardín Botánico en enero del 2019, viendo la necesidad que se tenia de manejar un tamaño de bolsa mas grande que la bolsa típica forestal que se maneja en vivero y como aporte a reducir el uso de plásticos de un solo uso en el departamento y con ello el reutilizar este material que ya sale como basura y que es muy poco apetecida como reciclaje.

 Se han recibido alrededor de 2000 bolsas, y entregado un promedio de 1500 arboles en estas mismas bolsas o cajas, la meta es recibir por año,3.000 bolsas o cajas, y avanzar para que otros viveros municipales o regionales acojan esta propuesta.
