Incumplimientos de Medisalud a sus usuarios fueron presentados ante la Supersalud para que tome medidas

Una queja formal ante la Superintendencia de Salud, fue interpuesta por la Secretaría de Salud de Boyacá, para que tomen las medidas correspondientes frente a los incumplimientos que viene presentando Medisalud, actual aseguradora del magisterio en Boyacá.

Así lo dio a conocer el secretario de Salud de Boyacá, Jairo Mauricio Santoyo Gutiérrez, quien manifestó que la EAPB no implementa acciones correctivas tendientes a la superación de situaciones críticas o irregulares, detectadas mediante la continua vigilancia realizada por parte de esta entidad territorial.

“Hemos encontrado deficiencias en la claridad frente a la afiliación y en la base de datos de los docentes, red de servicios, retraso en el pago de la entidad a la red de prestación de servicios, inoportunidades en la entrega de medicamentos, en la realización de cirugías y en la asignación de citas tanto generales como especialistas, por lo tanto, necesitamos que se tomen las medidas para proteger el derecho a la salud de nuestros docentes, ya que son 28.412 usuarios quienes se han visto perjudicados”, aseguró Santoyo.

Agregó que la Secretaría de Salud de Boyacá, en cumplimiento de las funciones de inspección y vigilancia, ha realizado seguimiento permanente a Medisalud UT, evidenciándose reiterativos incumplimientos por parte de ésta y su red prestadora de servicios, generando traumatismos y barreras de acceso a los servicios de salud con calidad y oportunidad.

Todo esto se le ha informado a la Supersalud para que actúe, ya que como Secretaría de Salud no se tiene la competencia del control, sino de inspección y vigilancia, pero el poder sancionatorio para que las EAPB le cumplan al Departamento, solamente lo tiene la Superintendencia.

“Seguiremos aportando las pruebas para ayudarle a la Superintendencia a que tome las sanciones pertinentes, con el fin de que sean definitivas y rápidas, de tal manera que las EAPB le cumplan a los usuarios y a las instituciones prestadoras de Salud”, aseguró el titular de la cartera en Boyacá.
