A la cárcel sujeto que hurtaba y lesionaba a mujeres que se desplazaban en motocicleta en el Meta

Siguiendo la estrategia dispuesta por el Fiscal General de la Nación, Francisco Barbosa, para garantizar la integridad de las mujeres en su entorno social, la Fiscalía Seccional Meta avanza en el trabajo interinstitucional que permita concretar la judicialización de las personas que afecten la seguridad ciudadana y, especialmente, a quienes agreden a las mujeres por el hecho de serlo.

La Fiscalía Local adscrita a la Unidad de Reacción Inmediata URI obtuvo la privación de la libertad consistente en detención intramuros contra Jorge Emilio Ortiz Montoya de 34 años, por hechos ocurridos durante los pasados meses de julio y agosto, cuando al parecer se dedicó a hurtar a mujeres en vía pública de varios sectores de Villavicencio (Meta).

Según la investigación adelantada, el detenido, en compañía de una mujer, se desplazaba en motocicleta y se acercaba a las víctimas cuando estas transitaban en motocicletas y, pese a estar en movimiento, al parecer, de manera violenta las despojaba de los bolsos con sus pertenencias, haciéndolas caer. Las víctimas sufrieron lesiones en cara y cuerpo, algunas de carácter permanente que les ocasionaron incapacidad entre 15 y 35 días ordenadas por Medicina Legal.

La Sijin de la Metropolitana de la Policía Nacional detuvo a Ortiz Montoya, en cumplimiento de una orden judicial, en vía pública de la Avenida Catama, al sur oriente de Villavicencio. Posteriormente, fue presentado ante un juzgado con función de control de garantías para su judicialización. En las diligencias de captura fue incautada una motocicleta.

La Fiscalía presentó el escrito de acusación por los delitos de hurto calificado y agravado en concurso homogéneo y sucesivo en 5 hechos y en concurso heterogéneo con lesiones dolosas contra Ortiz Montoya, los cuales no fueron aceptados.

Debido a la peligrosidad que representaba para la ciudadanía y que quedó en evidencia por la investigación de la Fiscalía, la Gobernación del Meta ofrecía recompensa por información que permitiera su captura.

Ante la decisión del juzgado frente a la medida, la Fiscalía solicitó a las autoridades penitenciarias y de salud revisar el estado médico del capturado y garantizar que se encuentre en buenas condiciones antes de realizar su traslado al lugar de detención.
