El ICA abrirá convocatoria pública para médicos veterinarios y médicos veterinarios zootecnistas que deseen pertenecer al sistema de autorización

Desde el 18 de septiembre, el Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario, ICA, habilitó las inscripciones para el “curso taller y examen de competencias técnicas” de los Programas Nacionales de Brucelosis y Tuberculosis Bovina, que va dirigido a médicos veterinarios y médicos veterinarios zootecnistas del país.

Los profesionales interesados en recibir del Instituto la autorización que los faculta como inspectores autorizados para la atención de actividades relacionadas con estas dos enfermedades de control oficial, pueden conocer los términos de referencia de esta convocatoria en la página web del ICA: www.ica.gov.co.

Dentro las actividades a desarrollar como inspectores están las relacionadas con: la toma de muestras y aplicación de pruebas para certificación y recertificación  de predios libres de brucelosis y tuberculosis, toma de muestras y aplicación de pruebas para diagnóstico de brucelosis y tuberculosis con el fin de autorizar las  movilizaciones, toma de muestras para saneamiento de predios positivos a brucelosis, y apoyo y ejecución de  programas de vacunación de brucelosis. 

El curso taller y examen de competencia que se llevarán a cabo en el mes de octubre de manera virtual, estarán bajo el seguimiento y supervisión de los funcionarios del ICA, con el propósito de reconocer las competencias técnicas y la idoneidad de los profesionales en el ejercicio de las actividades relacionadas con la protección de la producción pecuaria, en el marco de los Programas Nacionales de Brucelosis y Tuberculosis Bovina.

A través de la autorización de nuevos inspectores, el ICA busca aumentar la cobertura de profesionales autorizados para que los ganaderos tengan acceso a una atención oportuna en la toma de muestras para el diagnóstico de brucelosis, y la realización de pruebas para el diagnóstico de  tuberculosis, fortaleciendo las actividades encaminadas a la prevención y  control  de estas dos enfermedades. 

El ICA actualmente dispone de 37 organismos de inspección autorizados del programa de brucelosis, y 36 del programa de tuberculosis.
