Productores reconocen éxito de la reapertura de los mercados campesinos en Villavicencio

Más de 35 productores de la región volvieron a comercializar sus productos en Villavicencio, gracias a la reapertura de los Mercados Campesinos, los cuales llevaban varios meses sin operar.

“Siento mucha felicidad, casi seis meses sin poder salir y nada.  Y hoy fue un día muy especial, me sentí muy bien al compartir con mis compañeros, al ver que están bien”, expresó Xiomara Hernández, comerciante de Café.

La jornada, la cual se desarrolló el pasado sábado 26 de septiembre en el Polideportivo del barrio El Virrey, contó con la asistencia de más de 260 personas. “El balance es altamente positivo, (…) la gente se fue muy contenta”, aseguró Duperly Martínez, gerente de la Cooperativa Mercaorinoquia, organización que lidera los Mercados Campesinos.

Estos espacios cuentan con el apoyo del gobierno ‘Villavicencio Cambia’ Contigo’ y la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO).

Cabe decir que, la reapertura contó con la participación de productores de distintas veredas de Villavicencio y de municipios como Lejanías, El Calvario y San Juanito, incluso de Cundinamarca.

“Esto hace parte también del plan de reactivación económica, el apoyo a los Mercados Campesinos, a las compras locales. Y claramente este es el abre bocas de un proyecto muy grande que es la Galería Campesina del Siete de Agosto”, manifestó el secretario de Competitividad y Desarrollo, Camilo Gutiérrez.
