A la fecha, se confirma el diagnóstico de 74 casos positivo para SARS – COV – 2 (COVID-19) y el fallecimiento de un recluso con diagnóstico positivo para la enfermedad, por lo que desde la Secretaría de Salud de Casanare y la oficina de Salud Pública de la Administración Municipal de Paz de Ariporo, se adelantan las acciones pertinentes y adoptan las medidas necesarias para el manejo de la emergencia.
La Secretaría Departamental de Salud informa que, el pasado 13 de septiembre del presente año, se confirmó el primer caso de COVID-19 al interior de la penitenciaría del municipio de Paz de Ariporo, el cual corresponde a un hombre de 84 años con comorbilidades de fibrosis pulmonar, hipertensión arterial y tabaquismo.
El paciente había referido inicio de síntomas el día 01 de septiembre, consistentes en tos seca y dificultad para respirar, siendo atendido de manera inicial por personal médico de la institución. Sin embargo, tras varios días con sintomatología, fue conducido al Centro de Salud de Paz de Ariporo, donde luego de previa atención, es ordenado su traslado al Hospital Regional de la Orinoquía para manejo especializado el día 13 del presente mes; institución a la cual ingresa con diagnóstico de IRA y sospecha de infección por SARS Cov2, Crisis hipertensiva tipo urgencia, hipertensión arterial no controlada y fibrosos pulmonar.
En este centro asistencial toman muestra para COVID-19, dando como resultado positivo.
Así mismo se informa que, el día 18 de septiembre se recibe notificación de tres nuevos casos positivos al interior del centro carcelario, correspondientes a tres (3) personas (dos procedentes del municipio de Trinidad y uno de Paz de Ariporo) a las cuales les fue revocada la medida de detención domiciliaria, por lo que reingresan al centro penitenciario el día 03 del presente mes; fecha en la cual entraron en aislamiento y como parte del protocolo se les toma muestra para COVID-19, dando como resultado positivo.
Los tres (3) casos son asintomáticos y ninguno de ellos tuvo contacto con el primer caso notificado.
Acciones en atención a la emergencia.
A partir de la aparición del primer caso, la Secretaría Departamental de Salud estableció comunicación con el Instituto Nacional de Salud (INS), con el objetivo de recibir indicaciones precisas para el manejo del brote en esta población específica, al mismo tiempo que se dio inicio a las respectivas investigaciones de campo con el objetivo de establecer un diagnóstico integral de la situación, manteniendo una comunicación permanente con la Alcaldía Municipal y personal de sanidad de la penitenciaría para el desarrollo de actividades como:
– Toma de muestras (159) a los contactos estrechos del primer caso notificado, como parte de las acciones de vigilancia en salud pública, en coordinación con el Instituto Nacional Penitenciario y Carcelario – INPEC, Secretaría de Salud Municipal, Secretaría de Salud Departamental, Nueva EPS, Medimás, Sanitas y Capresoca EPS. (se excluyeron las tres personas mencionadas anteriormente, en razón a que ya habían sido muestreados y se encontraban en aislamiento).
– Visita a la penitenciaría con actividades de verificación de protocolos, información básica del evento y medidas preventivas al personal administrativo y de seguridad de la institución.
Medidas preventivas para la disminución del riesgo de contagio:
– En la actualidad la penitenciaría ha destinado un área específica de permanencia para los casos positivos, con el propósito de aislarlos del resto de la población reclusa.
– Así mismo, se ordenó el aislamiento preventivo de cuatro (4) adultos mayores con comorbilidades, a los cuales se les asignó el salón de aislamiento del área de salud, con el fin de realizar un constante monitoreo y verificación de su estado de salud; pese a que hasta el momento se encuentran asintomáticos.
– Desde la aparición del primer caso, se realiza seguimiento constante diario a los casos y contactos, en cumplimiento de los lineamientos y directrices del Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social.
– Las visitas a reclusos siguen suspendidas, como se ordenó desde el desde el inicio de la pandemia en el mes de marzo.
Hasta el momento, el resultado de las 159 pruebas moleculares para el diagnóstico de COVID-19 tomadas al interior del centro carcelario, arrojan los siguientes resultados:

Sobre la persona fallecida.
El día 26 de septiembre se recibe notificación del fallecimiento del primer caso notificado (hombre de 84 años de edad), el cual se encontraba hospitalizado en el Hospital Regional de la Orinoquía ESE, razón por la cual desde la Secretaría Departamental de Salud se orienta al personal del INPEC, respecto del manejo y disposición final del cadáver.
El paciente no había salido del centro penitenciario desde hace tres años y las visitas fueron suspendidas desde el inicio de la pandemia en el mes de marzo.
Recomendaciones para disminuir el riesgo de contagio:
– Salir de casa solo cuando sea necesario.
– Conservar el distanciamiento físico de mínimo de dos metros de distancia.
– Hacer uso responsable y adecuado del tapabocas.
– Realizar un lavado de manos cada dos horas mínimo por 20 segundos.
– Aplicar gel desinfectante mínimo cada hora en las manos.
– Evitar participar de reuniones y realizar cualquier tipo de eventos que generen aglomeración de personas.
