Disminuye un 46% los casos de dengue en Casanare
De acuerdo con el boletín epidemiológico de la Secretaría Departamental de Salud, durante este año con corte a la semana 33, se han registrado 476 casos de dengue con presencia en casi todos los municipios del departamento, frente a los 886 casos reportados en el mismo periodo del 2020, se presenta una disminución del 46%.
Así lo confirmó el informe entregado por el Sistema de Vigilancia Epidemiológica – SIVIGILA, que a la fecha se evidencia que no hay reporte de casos de dengue en los municipios de Sácama, La Salina, Orocué y Recetor durante este año.
Liliana Zuleta, Referente del Programa de Enfermedades Transmitidas por Vectores – ETV, indicó que “para la semana inmediatamente anteriormente fueron reportados 7 casos de dengue al sistema, los cuales corresponden a los municipios de Paz de Ariporo (1), Aguazul (1), Yopal (3), Villanueva (1) y Maní (1). Además tenemos un acumulado de 187 casos de dengue con signos de alarma y 9 de dengue grave”.
El análisis también determinó que los municipios con el mayor número de casos por esta enfermedad son Yopal (184), seguido de Paz de Ariporo (113); teniendo en cuenta que estos casos se presentan con mayor frecuencia en el área urbana, pero en Casanare también se están registrando en los centros poblados y algunos casos proceden de la zona rural.
“En el área rural estamos realizando una investigación exhaustiva para ver que desplazamiento están teniendo las personas, porque el dengue es una enfermedad que se presenta con mayor frecuencia en el área urbana”, agregó la referente de la Secretaría Departamental de Salud.
Los síntomas que presenta un paciente son: fiebre entre 3 y 5 días, vómito, dolor abdominal, sangrado por alguna de las mucosas, dolor intenso de cabeza, dolor detrás de los ojos, dolor en músculos y articulaciones, y eritema. La enfermedad puede progresar a formas graves, caracterizada principalmente por choque, dificultad respiratoria y/o daño grave de órganos.
Cabe resaltar que la reducción de casos de dengue en Chámeza puede atribuirse a las acciones de prevención y promoción, que se han adelantado con la puesta en marcha de la jornada de recolección de inservibles, educación en salud y el lavado de tanques que se adelantó en días pasados en el municipio donde se vio beneficiada la comunidad, luego que durante las últimas semanas se registrará un aumento de casos por esta enfermedad.
