Es falso que un jaguar haya atacado personas y animales en Casanare

La semana pasada circuló por redes sociales la información que supuestamente un jaguar habría atacado a una persona y varios animales en Orocué (Casanare).

Esa misma información está circulando hoy lunes 6 de septiembre y malintencionadamente la voz de un hombre dice que el animal atacó y causó la muerte a un ciudadano en Maní del mismo departamento.

Del mismo modo se difundió el 6 de agosto pasado esta misma Fake News en el Magdalena Medio, donde la Corporación Autónoma de Santander (CAS) también desmintió dicho materialdel mismo modo que se están usando en Casanare.

Corporinoquia, como autoridad ambiental, rechaza el hecho de la generación de pánico basados en información falsa y que no corresponde a situaciones generadas en nuestro país.

La Corporación ha venido desarrollando de manera responsable y profesional la reintroducción de muchas especies de la fauna silvestre, pero no ha liberado jaguares(Panthera onca) que pudieran afectar a la población humana, como han querido hacer creer a través de audios malintencionados.

Debido a esta información errónea y con fines desconocidos, profesionales del grupo de Fauna de la Corporación temen que las comunidades inicien actividades en perjuicio de los animales silvestres.

Recalcó el médico veterinario Álvaro Camacho, del Grupo de Fauna, que «ha sido ampliamente demostrado que los felinos endémicos, son poco avistados en la jurisdicción y en caso de tener un encuentro con humanos, su misma naturaleza los hace reaccionar a través de la huida, evitando toco conflicto con el humano«.

  «Una vez se ha podido identificar que este material audiovisual no corresponde a situaciones ocurridas en Casanare, se conmina a la comunidad a respetar la vida de los especímenes y se recuerda que cualquier afectación contra la fauna silvestre acarrea sanciones que pueden ir desde penas pecuniarias hasta medidas privativas de la libertad» señaló el subdirector de Control y Calidad Ambiental Héctor Miguel González.
