Yopal albergó el Noveno Foro de Salud, Deporte y gestión Social organizado por Asocapitales
En la capital del departamento de Casanare se llevó a cabo el Noveno Foro Salud Deporte y Gestión Social: Retos para Alcanzar la calidad de vida, organizado por la Asociación Colombiana de Ciudades Capitales (Asocapitales), con el objetivo de conocer de primera mano la situación actual de las capitales del país y articular iniciativas con el Gobierno Nacional para establecer soluciones enmarcadas en los retos para el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida.
La instalación de la mesa contó con la asistencia presencial y virtual de Carlos Ordosgoitia, Presidente de Asocapitales, Luz María Zapata, Directora Ejecutiva de Asocapitales, Guillermo Herrera, Ministro del Deporte, María Andrea Godoy, Viceministra de Protección Social, Alejandro García, rector de la Universidad del Rosario, Andrés Monpotes, Director de El Tiempo y Luis Eduardo Castro, Alcalde de Yopal.
En el primer Panel, se debatió el tema de los retos de las ciudades capitales en materia de salud y contó con la intervención de María Andrea Godoy, Viceministra de Protección Social, Jairo Humberto Cristo, Presidente de la Comisión Séptima de la Cámara de Representantes, Leonardo Briceño, experto en salud de la Universidad del Rosario, Jorge Luis Mendoza, Alcalde de Leticia y Luis Alejandro Fúneme, Alcalde de Tunja.
Para el segundo Panel se adoptó la temática de la infraestructura del deporte como generador de cambio social y contó con la participación de José Joaquín Sáenz, Asesor del ministerio del Deporte, Gustavo Tovar, Magister en deporte de la Universidad del Rosario, Johana Orozco, Presidente de la Federación Colombiana de Judo y Luis Eduardo Castro, Alcalde de Yopal.
El tercer y último panel tuvo como eje principal la Inclusión como pilar de la sociedad y se desarrolló con las intervenciones de Carolina Salgado, Consejera Presidencial para la niñez y la adolescencia, Silvia Vega, Gestora Social de Yopal, Silvana Puello, Gestora Social de Barranquilla, Amanda Rocío González, senadora integrante de la Comisión de la Mujer y Liliana Pulido, Subdirectora General del ICBF.
Durante su intervención el Alcalde Luis Eduardo Castro, enfatizó en la importancia de encaminar los niños en el deporte y la cultura, esto como mecanismo de protección de menores ante flagelos como la drogadicción o la delincuencia y resaltó que en la capital del Casanare, se vienen desarrollando importantes iniciativas en materia de la adquisición de un predio para la construcción de la pista de atletismo, construcción de coliseo de deportes de contacto, actualización del proyecto para el mejoramiento del patinódromo y demás que buscan fortalecer el sector deportivo de la ciudad.
Por su parte la Gestora Social, Silvia Vega, expresó que se están desarrollando acciones que consolidan la gestión y prioridad por poblaciones y comunidades vulnerables, siendo el pilar fundamentalmente para la creación de tejido social. Entre ellas se encuentran:
El reto para las regiones es lograr materializar los recursos que vienen del nivel nacional y departamental; en educación, cultura y deporte.
Los jóvenes recibirán herramientas que les permitan empoderarse y romper ciclos de pobreza y asistencialismo.
La prevención del embarazo en adolescentes y la creación de sus planes de vida son factores tratados por la institucionalidad para lograr la transformación de la sociedad .
