Casanare cuenta con vacunas disponibles para niños y adolescentes

Tras el inicio del periodo académico en el departamento, es importante que los menores de 17 años cuenten con el esquema completo de vacunación contra el COVID – 19, por lo que la Secretaría de Salud de Casanare confirmó un nuevo arribo de vacunas a la región, con el fin de garantizar la inmunización en los niños.

En esta oportunidad llegaron los biológicos de Sinovac, dosis que están dispuestas para la población de 3 a 11 años, mientras que la de Pfizer está disponible para la inmunización de la población entre 12 a 17 años, según los lineamientos del Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social frente al proceso de vacunación.

“Debemos aprovechar la disponibilidad de estas dosis que tenemos en Casanare, para que los padres de familia asistan con sus hijos a los diferentes puntos de vacunación en el departamento y así disminuir los contagios”, señaló Constanza Vega, Secretaria de Salud de Casanare.

Por su parte, el Programa Ampliado de Inmunización – PAI, indicó que 41.851 menores de 3 a 11 años ya recibieron la primera dosis de la vacuna y 23.464 la segunda dosis; mientras los adolescentes de 12 a 15 años con primeras dosis 25.349 y segundas 17.893, cifras con corte al 31 de enero de 2022.
