Corporinoquia visitó lugar de emergencia ambiental por derrame de crudo en Monterrey

En respuesta a evento contingente por el volcamiento del vehículo de placas SXR-208 adscrito a la sociedad COTRASUR, el día de hoy, 20 de julio de 2023, profesionales de Corporinoquia realizaron una visita de atención y verificación técnica en el lugar del incidente, ubicado en el PR 100+300 de la vía Monterrey-Yopal.

Durante el recorrido de inspección, se verificó que se estaban realizando labores de trasiego del producto contenido en el tanque del vehículo siniestrado hacia otro camión vacío, el cual se encontraba al costado de la vía. Asimismo, en la fuente hídrica conocida como «Caño seco», se pudo evidenciar la presencia de manchas e iridiscencias en el recurso hídrico y sobre el material pétreo de la zona, abarcando aproximadamente 250 metros hasta la cabeza del derrame.

En respuesta a la emergencia ambiental, la empresa responsable activó la atención de la contingencia con SOS Contingencias, quien desplegando cuadrillas de personal y equipos a lo largo de la fuente afectada, y se encuentran ejecutando acciones de contención y recolección del crudo vertido.

En este contexto, Corporinoquia hace un llamado para agilizar la asignación de recursos, talento humano y equipos adicionales, con el firme propósito de continuar con las labores de atención al evento. Es de suma importancia llevar a cabo una recolección constante de la mancha de crudo para evitar nuevas fugas. Además, se ha sugerido realizar la apertura de ventanas exploratorias aguas debajo de la cabeza del derrame, ya que el agua infiltrada podría reaparecer metros más abajo. Asimismo, se insta a implementar nuevas barreras de protección y prevención, especialmente ante la posibilidad de precipitaciones, con el fin de salvaguardar el medio ambiente y los valiosos recursos naturales de la región.

Corporinoquia reitera su firme compromiso con la protección y preservación del entorno natural y se mantendrá vigilante ante cualquier desarrollo en la situación. En conjunto con las autoridades competentes y las empresas involucradas, continuaremos trabajando sin descanso para mitigar los impactos ambientales derivados de este suceso.
