Ruta de los Libertadores y La Soberanía vital para el progreso de Arauca

 En las últimas horas se desarrolló en la ciudad de Yopal, el encuentro de gobernadores de la Orinoquía, destacando la participación del mandatario de Arauca, Renso Jesús Martínez Prada, quien en contacto con la prensa dijo que uno de los proyectos estratégicos para su región es la conexión de la Ruta de Los Libertadores.

En ese sentido, expresó que se debe concertar cuales son los principales proyectos para invertir los 700 mil millones de pesos que tiene disponible el gobierno nacional para todos estos departamentos, “de acuerdo a cada uno de los sectores donde el gobierno ha anunciado que se pueden utilizar, en eso hemos tenido una armonía de trabajo como gobernadores, un proyecto estratégico, es que venimos luchando desde varios años, así como en la vía la Soberanía”, dijo Martínez.

Agregó que el sueño siempre ha sido “conectarnos por la Ruta los Libertadores a través del municipio de Tame, Sácama, pasando por la Cabuya, y llegando a Socha, Boyacá, sería una alternativa que disminuiría el recorrido de forma considerable de 12 horas a Bogotá, podría reducirse a 9”, explicó el gobernador de Arauca.  

La Soberanía no avanza

Del mismo modo, comentó que hay un problema que tiene toda una vida, los 120 kilómetros que comunica el departamento de Arauca con el Norte de Santander, “en estos momentos se está ejecutando un contrato de obras en este eje vial por cerca de 400 mil millones de pesos, no ha avanzado la obra de manera significativa, apenas lleva un 10%, hemos hecho la reclamaciones al gobierno para que se acelere, ya que por esta vía es donde sale la mayor parte de nuestros productos especialmente el plátano y la carne en pie que abastece esa región del país”, añadió el mandatario araucano.  

A la inquietud sobre el tema de inseguridad en el departamento fronterizo, Renso Jesús Martínez, aclaró que en los primeros dos meses del año, ha disminuido el número de secuestros, “un ambiente favorable, ha cesado la confrontación armada entre los grupos que hacen presencia en la región, como el ELN y las disidencias de las FARC, hemos tenido mucho respaldo por parte de las fuerzas militares y policiales, los cuales hoy nos permite registrar cifras muy bajas en este tema de la seguridad”, recalcó.  

Fenómeno migratorio disminuye

De otra parte, contó que ha disminuido el fenómeno migratorio no solo hacia Arauca sino al interior del país, “la economía de Venezuela ha mejorado, la producción de petróleo supera a la de Colombia, y poco a poco se ha estabilizado la situación en ese país, la evidencia es que están retornando y nos alivia un poco el problema social”, manifestó.  

Finalmente, el gobernador indicó que es importante que la región esté unida, “de esta manera va ser mejor escuchada por el gobierno nacional”.
