La Décima Sexta Brigada del Ejército Nacional desarticula organización delictiva que se dedicaba al apoderamiento y hurto sistemático de hidrocarburos y sus derivados, biocombustible y mezclas, con los que recolectaban sumas superiores a los 1000 millones de pesos, provocando así pérdidas a las economías legales que proveen el desarrollo regional.
Gracias a un arduo trabajo de inteligencia militar, el Batallón de Infantería N.° 44 Ramón Nonato Pérez, de manera articulada con la Policía Nacional y la Fiscalía General de la Nación, logró en los últimos días la captura de ocho sujetos, y de quien sería el cabecilla de la organización.
Estas aprehensiones fueron desarrolladas de manera simultánea por el Ejército Nacional, y cumpliendo órdenes de captura en los municipios de Yopal y Aguazul, en el Casanare; en Duitama y Tunja, en Boyacá; en Barrancabermeja y Bucaramanga, en Santander; en Cartagena, Bolívar, y en Paratebueno, Meta.
Además del presunto cabecilla, entre los capturados se encuentran los coordinadores de logística y finanzas de esta estructura criminal que delinquía en los departamentos de Casanare y Boyacá, donde hurtaban y transportaban los hidrocarburos de manera ilícita, generando así pérdidas a las empresas formales del gremio en la región.
Los nueve sujetos fueron puestos a disposición de la Fiscalía General de la Nación, donde se adelanta su proceso de judicialización.
