La Secretaría de Gobierno de Yopal, en colaboración con la Policía Nacional, la Secretaría de Movilidad y la Seccional de Investigación Criminal (SIJIN), ha intensificado los operativos de verificación de sistemas de identificación y antecedentes de motocicletas en el municipio. Estas acciones buscan corroborar la autenticidad de los números de chasis y motor, garantizando que los vehículos no presenten alteraciones que indiquen procedencia ilícita.
Durante los operativos, se han inspeccionado múltiples motocicletas en diferentes puntos estratégicos de Yopal y se ha brindado información a los motociclistas sobre el buen uso de espejos, la implementación de accesorios que fomenten intranquilidad en la población, como también el porte de documentos vigentes para su transitabilidad.
Esta medida preventiva es esencial para evitar ser víctimas de estafas y contribuir a la reducción del mercado de motocicletas hurtadas. Las autoridades han detectado casos en los que los sistemas de identificación presentaban irregularidades, lo que ha permitido la recuperación de vehículos reportados como robados y la captura de individuos implicados en su comercialización, por lo cual se recordó a los propietarios la importancia de mantener actualizada la documentación de sus vehículos y reportar cualquier anomalía o intento de estafa a las autoridades competentes.
“Los delincuentes han encontrado una manera de lucrarse ilícitamente y es con el hurto de las motocicletas, por eso estuvimos realizando varios registros y controles, revisando el chasis a 95 de ellas y vamos a seguir haciendo este ejercicio por el bien de los yopaleños”, afirmó Jorge Andrés Rodríguez, secretario de Gobierno Municipal.
La Administración Municipal hace un llamado a la comunidad para que, al momento de adquirir una motocicleta de segunda mano, realice las verificaciones pertinentes. Es fundamental acudir a los puntos de venta autorizados y evitar transacciones en lugares no reconocidos, ya que esto disminuye el riesgo de adquirir vehículos con antecedentes delictivos. Además, se recomienda no realizar pagos por adelantado y exigir siempre la factura electrónica correspondiente. La colaboración ciudadana es clave para fortalecer la seguridad y combatir el comercio ilegal de motocicletas en la región.
