La Secretaría de Salud Departamental dio a conocer el informe sobre el Índice de Riesgo de la Calidad del Agua (IRCA) en la zona urbana de los 19 municipios de Casanare, en los cuales tres están en riesgo medio y cinco en riesgo bajo, de acuerdo con el acumulado promedio de este año con corte al mes de agosto.

Este medio digital conoció a través de Pilar Perilla, Profesional del Grupo Salud Ambiental, que “el agua es un elemento fundamental, por esta razón, tenemos derecho a gozar de un suministro de agua apto para el consumo humano, ya que es esencial para el desarrollo de la Vida”, destacó.
“Desde la Secretaría de Salud hacemos un llamado para que las Empresas de Servicios Públicos de los municipios de La Salina, Támara y Trinidad, que se encuentran en riesgo medio, realicen las acciones pertinentes para mejorar la calidad”, agregó la funcionaria.
Riesgo bajo
En cuanto a los municipios de Monterrey, Recetor, Orocué, San Luis de Palenque y Pore, están en riesgo bajo; mientras que Aguazul, Paz de Ariporo, Yopal, Chámeza, Sabanalarga, Hato Corozal, Sácama, Maní, Tauramena, Nunchía y Villanueva, se encuentran suministrando agua en promedio Sin Riesgo.
De consumir agua no apta para el consumo humano, las personas pueden adquirir algunas enfermedades como la Hepatitis A, Amebiasis, Disentería, Fiebre Tifoidea, Leptospirosis, entre otras, por eso es importante que a nivel domiciliario este líquido sea hervido previamente.
‘Pilas’ con la calidad del agua
Cabe resaltar que dentro de las competencias de la Secretaría de Salud Departamental, está el vigilar la calidad del agua que se suministra en todos los municipios del área urbana y rural de todo el Casanare.
Cabe decir que en diciembre del año anterior, los resultados que entregó la dependencia de salud estadal, permitieron determinar la presencia de impurezas o agentes físicos, químicos o microbiológicos, responsables de poner en riesgo la salubridad del agua, al punto de hacerla inviable para el consumo humano, motivo por el cual, se hace importante que las autoridades locales, realicen acciones de mejora y notifiquen de manera temprana a la ciudadanía para así evitar riesgos de posibles enfermedades o cuadros de infección.
