El Instituto Municipal de Deporte y Recreación (IMDER) continúa acompañando a los ciudadanos en las jornadas de actividad física al aire libre, establecidas por el Gobierno Nacional y el Ministerio del Deporte, que se han llevado a cabo en los horarios de 05:00 a.m. a 08:00 a.m. (adultos) y de 04:30 p.m. a 05:00 p.m. (niños, niñas y jóvenes).

“El IMDER hizo presencia el fin de semana en los puntos claves donde se reúnen los grupos de ciclistas, que adelantan rutas a lo largo de la ciudad”, expresó Mario Alberto Romero, director del IMDER.

En la última semana, el incremento de biciusuarios ha sido notorio en la ciudad con más de 700 ciclistas reportados al día para sus prácticas deportivas o que usan la bicicleta como medio de transporte para ir a trabajar.

“Ubicamos diferentes puntos de información, seguimiento y pedagogía, entre ellos están la Vereda El Carmen, antiguo peaje sobre la Vía a Restrepo, Panadería San Juan en el barrio La Grama, Corredor Ecológico de Amarilo y antiguo CAI del barrio Galán”, manifestó el funcionario.

La cifra total de villavicenses que realizaron actividades físicas o deportivas durante sábado, domingo y lunes fue de 3.521 personas, a pesar de las fuertes lluvias que caían en horas de la mañana. Entre estas, 1.868 eran biciusuarios y 1.653 preferían caminar, trotar o correr.

El IMDER está listo y le recomienda a todos los amantes de la bicicleta seguir con las medidas preventivas como el uso del tapabocas, desinfectar la bicicleta al finalizar la actividad deportiva, lavar los elementos de protección y mantener un distanciamiento físico de 5 metros con otros ciclistas.
