Hernández Aponte, alias «Ñeñe» con una empresaria de Miami y en él estaría envuelto, además, el colombiano traficante de carne vacuna Fernando de Matos Rebolledo, apresado en 2015 en Venezuela.
Las grabaciones sacan a la luz los entresijos del mecanismo de pago de votos que habrían beneficiado la candidatura de Iván Duque (del partido uribista Centro Democrático) en las elecciones de 2018 y en las cuales habría desempeñado un papel importante el «Ñeñe» Hernández.
El diario colombiano La Nueva Prensa apunta, además, que estas grabaciones y otras, que una investigación anterior del diario ya reveló en exclusiva, fueron escondidas durante 21 meses por la Fiscalía General de la Colombia.
Desde marzo pasado, la Fiscalía había ordenado el inicio de los trámites para llevar adelante la investigación del presunto fraude, luego de hacerse públicas otros audios en los cuales el «Ñeñe» llama a «ponerse las pilas» y empezar a «buscar plata para pasar bajo la mesa».
La Sala de Instrucción de la Corte Suprema de Justicia de Colombia citó hace dos semanas a Iván Duque para rendir declaración en otro episodio de corrupción electoral, denunciadas por la excongresista colombiana Aída Merlano; aunque tanto Duque, como el expresidente Álvaro Uribe se han defendido de las acusaciones negando conocer o, mucho menos, dar indicaciones para que se cometieran tales acciones.
