Fue radicado en el Ministerio del Interior el proyecto de reforma al Código Electoral

El proyecto del Código Electoral, de 161 páginas, fue radicado por la Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil y el Consejo Nacional Electoral en el Ministerio del Interior, con el objetivo de que se adelante una revisión jurídica por parte del Gobierno Nacional antes de ser presentado al Congreso de la República.
El texto plantea la modernización en la logística de las elecciones, la implementación de varias modalidades de voto y la ampliación de la jornada de votación. “Desde la Registraduría del siglo XXI tenemos el compromiso de modernizar las elecciones y la identificación de los colombianos. Por eso, presentamos este proyecto, producto de un
arduo trabajo interinstitucional, y esperamos contar con el apoyo del Congreso de la República”, aseguró el registrador nacional, Alexander Vega Rocha.
El propósito de esta actualización es fortalecer la seguridad y confianza de la ciudadanía en los comicios; además, dejar las reglas claras para los partidos políticos y dar vía libre a la digitalización de los procesos.
