Supersalud ordenó liquidación de Medimás EPS S.A.S.

De acuerdo con la Resolución 864–6 de 2022, la Superintendencia Nacional de Salud ordenó la toma de posesión inmediata de los bienes, haberes y negocios de Medimás EPS S.A.S y la intervención forzosa administrativa para liquidarla, ya que incurrió en siete causales para tal fin.

Según Luz Marina Estupiñán Merchán, secretaria de Salud de Boyacá, la liquidación de esta EPS tiene un gran impacto porque en el Departamento cuenta con 103.656 usuarios que ahora tendrán que ser trasladados a otras empresas administradoras de planes de beneficios, EAPB receptoras.

“La Supersalud a través del Decreto 780 de 2016 procederá a establecer los mecanismos de distribución, ya que cuando se presentan estas liquidaciones, la transferencia de usuarios se realiza de manera inmediata a las EAPB que se encuentren habilitadas en el departamento”, puntualizó la Secretaria.

Afirmó que la continuidad de los servicios para los afiliados de la EPS liquidada se seguirá garantizando a través de la red pública y privada departamental, mientras que se emite el acto administrativo por parte de la Superintendencia.

La jefe de la cartera Salud de Boyacá explicó que a 30 de diciembre de 2021, la deuda de Medimás con la red pública del Departamento es de aproximadamente 73.673 millones de pesos y de $26.824 millones con la red privada, es decir más de 100.498 millones de pesos, según la Circular 030, sin tener en cuenta su último corte.

“Esta es una EPS que venía fallando en su aseguramiento, en sus obligaciones de flujo de recursos, en los acuerdos de pago que estaban pactados y con restricciones en sus servicios por falta de recursos”, manifestó Estupiñán Merchán.

Aclaró que la Secretaría de Salud Departamental ha actuado desde su competencia de inspección, vigilancia y control, cada año, realizando cerca de cuatro mesas de trabajo para las negociaciones y la respectiva aclaración de deudas que se tiene con todos los aseguradores. Para el caso de la EPS Medimás, el año anterior se realizaron seis mesas de flujo de recursos con la Supersalud y en lo corrido de 2022 van dos mesas de trabajo con esta entidad.

“Hemos oficiado en varias ocasiones mediante requerimientos oficiales a la Superintendencia por el incumplimiento de este asegurador en el Departamento” aseguró la Secretaria.

A su vez, recordó que los recursos que se encontraban pactados en acuerdos de pago y a través de la Circular 030, quedarán inmovilizados hasta tanto no se constituya la masa de liquidación con vigilancia por parte de Superintendencia Nacional de Salud.

Como consecuencia de la orden de liquidación, el Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social procederá a realizar desde el próximo 14 de marzo, el traslado de los usuarios de Medimás a EPS receptoras que no cuentan con ninguna medida administrativa y que posibilitarán a la población afiliada mejores condiciones de acceso, calidad y oportunidad en la prestación de los servicios.
