Más de una decena de grupos armados irregulares comenzaron un cese al fuego unilateral desde este miércoles en respuesta a las propuestas de paz del Gobierno de Colombia.
El encargado de hacer el anuncio fue el alto comisionado para la Paz, Danilo Rueda, quien dio la noticia en medio de una rueda de prensa en la Casa de Nariño en Bogotá.
Petro, apenas llegó a la Presidencia, aseguró que les había pedido a estos grupos armados «no matar, no desaparecer, no torturar».
De acuerdo a Rueda, el Estado Mayor Central (EMC), la llamada “Segunda Marquetalia”, las Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia (AGC, conocido como Clan del Golfo), varias oficinas de ciudades y las denominadas autodefensas de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta se han sumado al cese al fuego unilateral.
El funcionario encargado de la política de paz del Gobierno colombiano explicó que «cada grupo con su propia identidad, está expresando su disposición para ser parte de la paz total”.
Desde hace unos días, el presidente Gustavo Petro mencionó que «en días» se plantearía un cese al fuego multilateral. En ese sentido, Rueda aseguró que este cese unilateral de más de diez grupos al margen de la ley, podría ser el camino para el anuncio de dicho cese multilateral.
En otro orden y relacionado con el inicio de los diálogos de paz con Ejército de Liberación Nacional, Rueda indicó que, «estamos todavía en la aplicación de los protocolos. Cuando termine esa fase, el presidente designará a los integrantes que van a representar los intereses de los colombianos en esta mesa de diálogo».
Desde que asumió la Presidencia, en agosto pasado, Gustavo Petro comenzó lo que denominó una política de paz con la cual busca acabar con los diversos conflictos que hay en Colombia.
