Las familias y los estudiantes del centro poblado Caño Chiquito del municipio de Paz de Ariporo, regresaron a clases con gran alegría.
La Institución Educativa Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento, se vio obligada a suspender las clases debido a una serie de llamadas amenazantes y extorsivas que recibieron tanto los docentes como otros habitantes de centros penitenciarios del país.
El 26 de febrero, la Secretaría de Gobierno organizó un consejo de seguridad en el territorio con la participación de las fuerzas de seguridad del departamento, la Policía, el Ejército, la Dirección Seccional de Fiscalías, Migración Colombia y la Defensoría del Pueblo.
El secretario de Gobierno, Héctor Julio Ramos Prieto, encabezó el consejo y también estuvo presente el secretario de Gobierno de Paz de Ariporo, José Neobán Calderón.
En la actualidad, toda la plantilla docente fue presentada a toda la comunidad estudiantil. Los cuatro maestros han tomado la decisión de ausentarse desde el 24 de febrero de este año debido a las amenazas.
Nos sentimos muy agradecidos con la Gobernación y la Alcaldía por estar siempre presentes para facilitar el regreso de los profesores. Una estudiante de la IES Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento, expresó su felicidad por volver a la escuela.
