El final, apto para velocistas, se definió a favor de Sepúlveda, que superó con autoridad en los últimos metros a los corredores del GW Erco Shimano: Brandon Vega y Jefferson Ruiz, quienes terminaron en el segundo y tercer lugar, respectivamente.
No hubo modificaciones en la clasificación general, en la que Héctor Ferney Molina, del Team Sistecrédito se mantiene como líder, a 1:12 de Diego Pescador (GW Erco Shimano)
Sepúlveda ratificó su título en el sprint especial, tras sumar 26 unidades, y de igual manera se aseguró la camiseta de la clasificación por puntos, a falta de una jornada.
El domingo se disputará la última jornada de la edición 57 de la Vuelta de la Juventud, con una contrarreloj individual de 34.4 kilómetros, entre Cumaral y el Alto de Buenavista, en el que se conocerá al nuevo campeón de la carrera.
