Esta misión humanitaria, fue posible gracias a una gestión ante una empresa privada, aunado al trabajo conjunto entre Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres, el diputado Alejandro López, la Alcaldía Municipal, familiares y la comunidad; lo que permitió que la familia campesina se recuperara del incendio estructural que los había dejado en la calle.
Entre lágrimas de felicidad, doña María recordó los dolorosos momentos, al ver su casita vuelta cenizas. “No se lo deseo a nadie. El pensar que me quedé solo con lo que tenía puesto encima, es muy duro. Lloré y he llorado. Pero hoy lloré de la alegría, porque se hizo realidad lo que el Gobernador nos prometió.
Con su nueva casa, la familia Varela Ruiz, volvió a sonreír y a retomar su vida en condiciones dignas. Este es un ejemplo de cómo la unión de diferentes sectores, puede hacer la diferencia en personas afectadas por desastres.
