Atendiendo el llamado de los rectores de las instituciones educativas oficiales de Yopal, el secretario de Educación, David Díaz Sánchez, realizó las gestiones necesarias, para que se destinaran más recursos y así poder ampliar la prestación del servicio de vigilancia de 12 a 24 horas, en un alto porcentaje de las infraestructuras que pueden tener algún riesgo de seguridad por el tamaño del entorno escolar.
La limitación en la disponibilidad de recursos públicos, había impedido hasta la fecha, que algún alcalde de Yopal, pudiera garantizar la prestación del servicio de vigilancia en las instituciones educativas por más de 12 horas, generando una incertidumbre para los rectores quienes son los responsables de lo que sucede al interior de los centros educativos.
Buscando dar tranquilidad no solo a los rectores sino a toda la comunidad educativa, tras la gestión realizada por la Secretaría de Educación de Yopal, el alcalde Marco Tulio Ruíz, enfocó los esfuerzos fiscales en asignar los recursos para lograr este propósito.
Cabe resaltar que está en ejecución desde enero, un contrato que permitió prestar el servicio de vigilancia en las instituciones educativas oficiales durante 12 horas.
Con los cerca de 5.000 millones de pesos que destina la Alcaldía de Yopal, se ha permitido generar empleo a personas que desarrollan su trabajo como vigilantes y ahora con el aumento en las horas de prestación del servicio, son alrededor de 140 personas quienes estarán empleadas hasta finalizar el año.
“Vamos a seguir trabajando para llevar bienestar a la comunidad educativa y aumentar las horas del servicio de vigilancia, gracias a la voluntad del alcalde Marco Tulio Ruíz, hicimos realidad algo que jamás se había dado en la historia de la entidad territorial”, afirmó David Díaz Sánchez, secretario de Educación de Yopal.
