La ciudad de Yopal, está lista para recibir a más de 3 mil 200 niños en los Juegos Intercolegiados, que se disputarán del 16 al 20 de septiembre del año en curso. El Instituto para el Deporte y la Recreación de Yopal (IDRY), que dirige Edwin Sánchez, anunció que en competencia habrá 22 disciplinas en conjunto e individuales, con atletas de 8 corregimientos del municipio capital de Casanare, en 48 Instituciones Educativas.
El acto inaugural será el martes 17 de septiembre a las 9.00 a.m. en el Coliseo 20 de Julio, donde se espera la presencia del alcalde Marco Tulio Ruiz, y otras autoridades de la región.
Sin duda, que el objetivo del ministerio del Deporte es promover la formación integral de las niñas, niños y jóvenes de todas las regiones del país a través de la implementación de herramientas de transformación social enfocadas al deporte escolar, con las cuales lleva a todos los territorios, los Juegos Intercolegiados Nacionales, programa que le brinda a la niñez y juventud, la oportunidad de formarse en múltiples disciplinas y competir en condiciones de equidad e igualdad.
En otro orden de ideas, tras evaluar las diferentes postulaciones recibidas desde varios departamentos, el Ministerio del Deporte, hace unos días señaló que siguiendo los lineamientos de calidad en cuanto a condiciones técnicas y aseguramiento en la prestación de los servicios necesarios para llevar a cabo la fase regional de los Juegos Intercolegiados Nacionales, definió el listado de las ciudades que albergarán estas justas deportivas.
Puerto Inírida, Barrancabermeja, Fusagasugá, Barranquilla, Montería, Envigado, Popayán y Puerto Gaitán fueron elegidas para ser sede en las regiones en las cuales se encuentra dividido el programa a nivel nacional.
