Las competencias de los Juegos Intercolegiados en la fase regional avanzan en Yopal, Cúcuta y Rivera (Huila), ciudades que han recibido los deportes de fútbol, fútbol de salón y sala, voleibol y baloncesto, en la categoría juvenil y prejuvenil. Los últimos clasificados se definirán el próximo domingo, 14 de abril, con el último día de los encuentros de esta instancia de las competencias.
En respuesta al compromiso con el crecimiento y la promoción del deporte escolar en Colombia, el Ministerio del Deporte ha invertido un total de 19.500 millones de pesos, para contribuir a la creación de más oportunidades para los estudiantes del país permitiéndoles mostrar su talento, habilidades y capacidad deportiva, fortaleciendo de esta manera el desarrollo integral niños, niñas y jóvenes del territorio nacional.
En la Región Orinoquía, con sede en la capital de Casanare, están las delegaciones de Arauca, Guaviare, Meta y los locales. Al termino de las competencias de la categoría prejuvenil, en baloncesto femenino y masculino, clasificó la delegación del Meta.
En la disciplina de fútbol sala masculino, los representantes de Casanare se quedaron con el cupo a la Final Nacional, mientras que, en la rama femenina, clasificó el departamento del Meta. En voleibol varones, el tiquete fue para Guaviare y, en las damas, se quedó para Casanare.
Desde este viernes sigue en marcha la fase regional del evento más importante del deporte escolar en el país, con las disciplinas de fútbol, fútbol de salón, voleibol y baloncesto, en la categoría juvenil femenina y masculina.
